Operations Cockpit Overview

The Operations Cockpit is a map-driven nerve centre for your business. In it, you can toggle various Lenses, which can be clicked at the top of the screen (or by using your keyboard numbers 1-6). Holding down Ctrl/Cmd allows you to select multiple lenses at once and use the tabs in the Dock to change context.

  • Airports: Show all airports (this is where you'll go in a moment to purchase an Operations Centre)

  • Base Operations: View airports at which you have base operations

  • Aircraft: View your fleet

  • Demand: Explore global demand and configure charter jobs

  • Routes: View and configure new routes between airports

  • Dispatch Plans: View your configured Dispatch Plans (collections of charter jobs)

When you move the map make sure to click the Search this area button or press Space or Enter on your keyboard to update your results.

Perspectives

Perspectives are saved lens combinations that you can switch between quickly. Instead of manually toggling lenses each time, create a perspective for common workflows.

Use the Perspectives dropdown to:

  • Switch between saved perspectives

  • Create new perspectives from your current lens selection

  • Manage and delete existing perspectives

This is particularly useful if you regularly switch between fleet overview mode (Aircraft lens only) and route planning mode (Aircraft + Demand + Routes).

The Dock

The dock appears on the right side of the screen and displays detailed information about whatever you've selected. Its contents change based on the active lens and your current selection.

Dock Behaviour

Click any item on the map—an aircraft, airport, or route—and the dock populates with its details. The dock provides contextual actions appropriate to what you're viewing.

Multiple Selections

When you select multiple items, the dock displays tabs along the top. Each tab represents a selected item. Click tabs to switch between them, or close tabs you no longer need.

This allows you to compare items side by side without losing your selections. For instance, select several airports to compare their demand levels, switching between tabs to review each.

The Map

The map is the central visualisation of your operations. It displays aircraft positions, route lines, demand indicators, and more depending on your active lenses.

Pan by clicking and dragging. Zoom using your scroll wheel or the zoom controls. The map remembers your position as you switch between lenses.

Search This Area

The map only loads data for the visible region to keep performance fast. When you pan or zoom to a new area, click Search this area to load data for that region.

This is particularly important when exploring demand in unfamiliar areas or checking aircraft positions across your global operation.

Bounds Type

The bounds type dropdown controls how the map defines the search area:

Option

Behaviour

Viewport

Searches within the currently visible map area

Region

Searches within a defined geographic region

Global

Loads data worldwide (may be slower)

Use Viewport for focused work in a specific area. Switch to Global when you need a complete picture of your entire operation.

Quick Tips

  • Use keyboard shortcuts for fast lens switching

  • Combine Aircraft + Demand lenses to spot repositioning opportunities

  • Save perspectives for your common workflows to reduce clicking

  • Click Search this area after panning to ensure you're seeing current data
