Stands
Stands are analogous to hangars in their functionality but do not offer the added protection from the elements for general aviation (GA) aircraft. In short, GA aircraft stored in stands will be protected from parking fees but will accrue accelerated maintenance.
Stands share much of their functionality with hangars. View the article for hangars to understand how to use stands.
Single Occupancy
Unlike hangars, which can hold multiple aircraft, stands (like slots) are designed for single occupancy. This means that only one aircraft can be stored in a stand, regardless of any additional "available" space. For instance, if a Cessna 172 is stored in a Huge Stand, it is considered occupied and cannot accommodate additional aircraft.
The footprint (in m²) that an aircraft requires for a stand is calculated based on it's length and wingspan. More information about how to find this data is shown in Aircraft Database and Information
Stand Pricing
Stand prices are determined by the economic score of the airport. Airports with a higher economic score charge more for stands. Since stand pricing is dynamic, specific figures cannot be provided on this documentation page.
