Aircraft Transfers

Companies can transfer aircraft directly to another company without going through the classifieds marketplace. This is useful for restructuring fleets between your own companies or sending aircraft to partners.

Requirements

Before an aircraft can be transferred, the following conditions must be met:

  • The aircraft must be on the ground and not currently flying a job

  • The aircraft must not have any active jobs pending

  • The receiving company must have Accept Asset Transfers enabled in their Company Settings

  • The receiving company's AOC level must support the aircraft's maximum takeoff weight (MTOW). If they don't have a sufficient AOC, the transfer will be blocked

  • Free users cannot exceed 3 aircraft in the receiving company after the transfer

  • The transfer must not push the sender's net worth below zero

How to Transfer an Aircraft

  1. Navigate to the Operations Cockpit and select the Aircraft lens

  2. Click on the aircraft you want to transfer

  3. In the aircraft details panel, click the Transfer button (requires the Transfer Aircraft privilege)

  4. Select the receiving company from the dropdown (only companies that accept asset transfers will appear)

  5. A preview dialog will show the net worth impact for the sending company, including the aircraft's current market value

  6. Review the impact and click Confirm Transfer

What Happens During a Transfer

  • The aircraft's market value is calculated at the time of transfer

  • If the aircraft has an active classified listing, it is automatically cancelled

  • Any outstanding parking fees at the aircraft's current location are settled by the sender

  • The aircraft's net worth asset is removed from the sender and added to the receiver at market value

  • The receiving company is notified of the incoming aircraft

  • The aircraft remains at its current physical location

Net Worth Protection

Transfers are blocked if they would cause the sender's net worth to go negative. The system calculates: current net worth - aircraft asset value and ensures the result stays above zero. This prevents companies from hollowing out their balance sheet through transfers.

Difference from Asset Transfers on Company Deletion

Unlike the asset transfer that happens when deleting a company (which moves all assets at once), direct aircraft transfers move a single aircraft at a time. This gives you more control over fleet restructuring without needing to close a company.
